NYPD looking for East Village rape suspect

Police need help apprehending a man suspected of trying to rape a woman in her East Village apartment early Sunday.
The suspect, a white man between 25 and 30 years old, 5 feet 9 inches tall, and 170 pounds, followed the 27-year-old woman into her First Avenue residence about 3 a.m., pushed her to the ground and tried to rape her. She fought back and he fled. A video of the suspect was obtained from a residential building nearby.
