New York City police say a man who sought help at an employment agency but was turned away is accused of fatally stabbing the agency owner in her apartment.

Police said Wednesday that the 46-year-old woman was found dead after a neighbor noticed blood seeping from under the doorway of the Flushing, Queens, apartment.

The suspect showed up at a hospital late Tuesday and was taken into custody. Police said he previously served 30 days for assaulting the victim and there were at least nine restraining orders against him for verbal threats.

Police said he apparently held a grudge over not being able to find a job.
