NYPD misconduct complaints down

Misconduct complaints by civilians against New York City police fell 18 percent in the first six months of 2010, compared to the same period a year before.
According to the Civilian Complaint Review Board, there were 3,314 complaints against the NYPD from January through June 2010. In the first half of 2009, there were 4,017.
The board says it’s the fewest complaints in any six-month period since 2005.
