NYPD officers shot, wounded in separate incidents
Officials say two New York Police Department officers have been shot and wounded in separate shooting incidents in the Bronx and Brooklyn.
In the Bronx, police say an off-duty officer was shot in the leg Thursday evening and has been taken to the hospital. The circumstances of the shooting are unclear.
The Brooklyn shooting took place around 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Fort Hamilton Parkway stop on the N subway line.
Metropolitan Transportation Authority spokeswoman Deirdre Parker says an officer was shot, along with a suspect. The officer was taken to the hospital. His condition and the circumstances have not been released.
The condition of the suspect was unclear.
