Police shot and wounded a 61-year-old man wielding a BB gun that looked like a real automatic pistol early Saturday in Brooklyn, officials said.

Responding to a 911 call of an armed man in the Bushwick section at 1:20 a.m., police took cover behind parked cars and told James Crockett, of 78-13 81st St., Queens, to drop his weapon, police said.

Police shot Crockett twice after he turned around, weapon still in hand, and ignored orders to drop it. After the shooting, cops discovered the weapon was a BB gun.

Crockett was taken to Elmhurst Hospital Center, where he was listed in stable condition.

He was charged Saturday night with criminal possession of a disguised gun and menacing a police officer.
