NYPD seeks wheelchair bandit

The NYPD is seeking a bandit who made a getaway in a motorized wheelchair after stealing it while its tourist owner was dining inside a fancy Manhattan restaurant.
Police said the 68-year-old owner is a stroke victim who was visiting from Florida.
He was dining with his daughter at Palm Too restaurant on Second Avenue on July 20 with the wheelchair parked outside when the thief struck. A witness spotted the man motoring away northbound on the sidewalk.
Police on Tuesday released a security photo of the man being sought.
