President Barack Obama on Sunday called for a "thorough" investigation of a sex scandal rocking members of his Secret Service.
"If it turns out that some of the allegations that have been made in the press are confirmed, then of course I'll be angry," Obama said during a press conference, according to ABC News.
On Friday, 11 accused agents and officers were helping plan President Barack Obama’s trip to Colombia for the Summit of the Americas over the weekend. They allegedly brought prostitutes back to their hotel rooms, and local police were called after one of the women complained that she hadn’t been paid, according to reports.
Prostitution is legal in parts of Colombia. The accused employees have been placed on administrative leave.
Meanwhile, a leading House Republican said Sunday he expects the scandal to grow.
“We think the number might be higher, and we're asking for the exact amount of all the people who were involved,” Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, said on CBS.
