An off-duty cop was arrested early Tuesday morning for allegedly choking his wife during an argument.

Police said officer Kofi Nsafoah was cuffed at around 2:30 a.m. after choking his wife, whose name was not released. A police spokeswoman did not know the woman's condition Tuesday, or if she needed medical attention.

Kofi, 36, was arrested on charges of criminal obstruction of breathing, the NYPD said, and is suspended without pay.
