An off-duty police officer shot one of three suspects who tried to rob him in the Bronx early Monday morning, cops said.

Police said that three men approached the NYPD sergeant and tried to rob him at gunpoint and knifepoint near Creston Avenue and E. 179 Street in Mount Hope just before 4 a.m.

The officer shot one of the suspects in the torso, police said.

Authorities said he was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition, and charges are pending against him.

The other two suspects fled on foot to parts unknown, police said. Both men remain at large, cops said.

Two knives were recovered at the scene, according to police.

The off-duty officer was taken to Jacobi Medical Center, where he was treated and released.
