Outlook good for Giants to hit bye on high note

It's easy to worry after a loss, but Giants fans can hold their heads high even after the deflating 24-20 defeat against the Steelers last Sunday.
Big Blue (6-3) is still up three games in the division, and have only the Cincinnati Bengals between them and their bye week. Here's three reasons to be positive about the matchup (FOX, 1 p.m.).
The Bengals are struggling
Cincinnati went 3-1 in September, but hasn't won a game since. While none of the losses was by more than 10 points, the defense is surrendering 26.5 ppg during the four-game skid. Expect the Giants find the endzone with regularity.
The Giants have more weapons
It's possible the Bengals have the best non-QB offensive player in this matchup in A.J. Green. But beyond the sensational second-year pro, Cincinnati doesn't have another stud. The Giants have the better wideout tandem with Victor Cruz and Hakeem Nicks, and the better running backs.
JPP is coming alive
Jason Pierre-Paul got off to a slow start for the Giants, but with five sacks and an interception for a touchdown in the last four games he appears poised to be the impact player fans remember from last year. Bengals left tackle Andrew Whitworth will have his hands full going up against JPP on Sunday.
