All lanes of the Long Island Expressway in both directions have reopened in Queens after a dump truck overturned earlier near Exit 23, officials said.
The accident occurred at 12:15 p.m. just east of the Kissena Boulevard exit overpass, causing the temporary closure of the expressway near the Utopia Parkway exit, according to a State Police spokesman.
The NYPD did not have any details on the cause of the accident or any injuries.
