The NYPD announced Thursday the arrests of two men in Queens who allegedly tried to solicit aid for the Taliban and al-Qaida.

Investigators kept tabs on Humayoun Ghoulam Nabi and Ismail Alsarabbi in 2011 and 2012 with the aid of an informant. The men allegedly talked with the informant about plans to aid terrorist groups in Afghanistan who were attacking American soldiers. The suspects were charged in Queens Criminal Court on Tuesday with conspiring to solicit aid in support of terrorist organizations
