Passenger removal at JFK delays JetBlue flight
A Florida-bound JetBlue flight continued without incident after a passenger was removed at Kennedy Airport because of a security concern, an airline representative said Sunday.
The 6:59 p.m. Saturday flight to Tampa was delayed about three hours as officials removed the passenger, JetBlue spokesman Jenn Dervin said. The plane arrived in Tampa about 12:30 a.m., she said.
Dervin would not say why the customer was removed other than it was a "security issue" and the plane's crew initiated the removal. She declined to release the passenger's identity.
A Port Authority spokesman said the agency was never involved in the incident.
