The pastor of a Florida megachurch found dead in a Times Square hotel Friday reportedly had a white, powdery substance thought to be drugs in his pocket.

Rev. Zachery Tims Jr., 42, a drug addict as a youth who went on to run an 8,000-member New Destiny Christian Center in Orlando, was discovered at the W Hotel Friday evening by hotel staff. Authorities are still testing the substance, and it's unclear whether it played a role in his death.

A cause of death is still unknown, and criminality is not suspected.

Zachery, who grew up in Maryland, started his church in 1996 with his wife, Riva. The couple divorced in 2009 after he admitted to having a year-long affair with a stripper. They were married for 15 years and had four children together.

The church didn't return requests for comment.
