With his scandal-ridden governorship now comfortably behind him, David Paterson has joined the ranks of ex-politicians turned talking heads, and will host a radio show weekdays from 4 p.m to 6 p.m. on WOR/710 AM starting on Tuesday.

Paterson, quick with a joke, has a gift for gab, proved by his frequent calls to WFAN to chat sports and his fill-in shifts for John Gambling on the station the former governor will now call home. Here are some other big-name pols who have taken the politics-media jump

Who: Eliot Spitzer
Claim to fame: Disgraced governor of New York
Media gig: Became a columnist for online magazine Slate; hosted talk shows "Parker Spitzer" then "In the Arena" before CNN canned him.

Who: Ed Koch
Claim to fame: Mayor of New York City
Media gig: Was a judge on "The People's Court"; reviewed film in "Mayor at the Movies;" hosted “Koch on Call” on WNYW/Ch. 5 while still mayor.

Who: Al Sharpton
Claim to fame: Political activist, presidential nominee in 2004
Post-politics: Radio and TV talk show host, most recently as host of MSNBC's PoliticsNation
