Hillary for president in 2016?

"Why wouldn’t she run? She's a magnificent secretary of state," Democratic House minority leader Nancy Pelosi said of Hillary Clinton in a wide-ranging interview with the San Francisco Chronicle published Sunday.

"She’s our shot," for the Democrats to capture the White House in 2016, Pelosi told the Chronicle’s senior political writer Carla Marinucci.

Pelosi said that her party needs to be braced for "carpet bombing, scorched earth, take no prisoners, shock and awe," blowback from special interest groups for their attempts to reform an "unsustainable" health care system.

"They’re coming after us because this is big money," she said.
