Petraeus' wife 'furious' over his alleged affair: Spokesman

David Petraeus' former spokesman said Monday that the retired four-star general's wife was "furious" after he revealed an affair with his biographer.
"Well, as you can imagine, she's not exactly pleased right now," retired Col. Steve Boylan told "Good Morning America." "He deeply hurt the family."
Boylan implied Petraeus, 60, is remorseful and trying to patch things up with Holly Petraeus despite her anger.
"It was a colossal mistake," the former spokesman said. "He's acknowledged that."
Petraeus resigned from the CIA on Friday when he announced he had an extramarital affair with a woman, later identified by the AP as Paula Broadwell, 40, while he was leading the agency.
Federal investigators discovered the affair after Broadwell allegedly sent harassing emails to a friend of the Petraeus family, Jill Kelley.
Reports have said he could face criminal charges if he started the affair while in the Army, but Boylan insisted that wasn't the case.
