Planes to fly over New York Harbor for Fleet Week
Don't be shocked if you see Navy and Marine Corps aircraft flying over New York Harbor on Wednesday.
The planes are conducting flyovers to coincide with the parade of ships entering the harbor for the start of Fleet Week 2010, police and officials said.
Four Navy F-18 Hornet fighter jets will fly over the Verrazano Bridge and into the harbor at 8:35 a.m. About a half-hour later - at 9:09 a.m. - two F-18 Hornets and two propeller-driven MV-22 Ospreys will pass over the parade of ships in the harbor to open Fleet Week, officials said.
