PlayStation 4 to arrive in American stores on November 15
Gamers, save the date.
Sony announced during its presentation at the GamesCom conference in Germany yesterday that the PlayStation 4 will hit store shelves in North America on Nov. 15.
Along with announcing the release date for the $399 device, the Japanese gaming company showed off several games running off the machine, such as PC hit Minecraft, Watch Dogs and Assassin's Creed IV.
Players can also use their new PlayStation 4 games on the portable PS Vita device with the improved remote play feature. The Vita, which has had tough competition from mobile devices and Nintendo's 3DS handheld, dropped from its $299 price to $199 Tuesday.
Sony's main rival, Microsoft, didn't announce a release date for its next system, the Xbox One, but did reveal the entire list of its launch games during its event at the conference.
Fan favorite franchises such as "Call of Duty" and "Madden," as well as new games like "Ryse: Son of Rome," will be available when the $499 system arrives during the holiday season.
