Police are searching for a couple of pint-sized would-be muggers accused of trying to grab a woman's purse in Central Park Monday night.

The 38-year-old woman was walking in Central Park near Fifth Avenue and East 107th Street at 8 p.m. when a young girl, between 12 and 14, demanded her cell phone, police said. When the woman refused, a boy about 10 or 11 years old tried to rip off her pocketbook. Both tikes fled after the incident.

Police described the girl as four-foot-ten-inches tall wearing a black jacket with a red hook, with her hair in a braided pony tail. The boy was four-foot-five-inches tall wearing a beige-striped fleece. Police are also looking to identify a third girl, a 14-year-old wearing a purple shirt, seen with the two children in a surveillance video.
