Police: Mother fatally shot in Queens home with 2 children there

A man was taken into custody in the fatal shooting of his wife Saturday after a domestic dispute at their home in Ozone Park, the NYPD said.
Responding to a 104th Street address at 11 a.m., police said they found Jessica Canty, 40, with several gunshot wounds to her torso.
She was pronounced dead at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, police said.
The husband was apprehended "a short while later" outside elsewhere in Queens, and a firearm was found, police said.
He is believed to be in his 40s, said police, who added that the investigation is continuing and that charges against the husband, whose name was not released, are pending.
A boy and a girl, both younger than 10, were present inside the home, police said, but it was unclear whether they saw the shooting.
