Police search for man who may have jumped into the East River
NYPD divers were searching Saturday afternoon for a man who may have jumped into the East River, police said.
The security office at the United Nations told police an emotionally disturbed man was seen trespassing on UN property about 7 a.m. before he jumped over a wall — and into the river — near East 42nd Street, authorities said.
He had not been found as of late Saturday afternoon, police said.
