Police searching for man wanted for attempted rape in Riverside Park

Cops are looking for a man who allegedly tried to rape a female jogger in Riverside Park last Friday but was scared away by witnesses.
Authorities said the man approached the 24-year-old jogger from behind, grabbed her by the neck and choked her. He then threw the woman to the ground and attempted to rape her, the NYPD said, but was scared off by nearby witnesses. The alleged attack happened between West 125th and West 122nd streets.
The woman was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Cops describe the suspect as Hispanic, 35 to 40 years old, 5-foot-9 and 180 pounds.
