Police searching for suspect who robbed, tied up subway station agent

Police are looking for a man who robbed a subway station agent in Queens while posing as an MTA worker, the NYPD said.

The robbery happened Saturday around 11 a.m. at the 111th Street stop on the No. 7 train in Queens.

The unidentified suspect wore an MTA vest and lured the agent out of her booth by saying he needed to heat up his lunch, according to officials and published reports.

Once the agent was out of her station, the man pulled out a gun, bound her with duct tape and stole cash, reports said. Some reports said there was a second suspect who acted as a lookout, but the NYPD said that as of now they are only searching for the one suspect.

The woman was taken to New York Hospital Queens, where she was treated for minor injuries and psychological trauma, according to reports.
