Police seek three suspects in tattoo shop robbery and rape
Police released surveillance video Wednesday of a gun robbery at a Bedford-Stuyvesant tattoo parlor involving three suspects that ended in the rape of a customer.
According to the NYPD, two men -- one holding a gun and the other a knife -- walked into Inkstatic Tattoo Parlor on Ralph Avenue and Hancock Street at 2 a.m. Jan 17 along with a woman who buzzed the door to get inside.
The female suspect ran and jumped into a white Nissan Maxima, while her alleged accomplices stole cellphones, watches and cash from customers and employees, police said.
Then, one of the robbers raped a 23-year-old woman before fleeing the scene in the Maxima, police said. The victim was treated at Woodhull Hospital.
