A new poll says New York City voters are unhappy with Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

The Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday says that 51 percent of voters interviewed disapprove of the job Bloomberg is doing. Those who approve are at 39 percent.

It’s the worst poll results the mayor has had since a 37 percent approval rating in November 2003.

Maurice Carroll, director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute, chalked the mayor’s decline up to "the third-term blahs." In addition, 69 percent of voters said they were unhappy with the administration’s handling of snow removal this winter.

The university’s pollsters interviewed 1,115 registered voters by phone on March 8-14. The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 2.9 percentage points.
