Preseason game for Islanders at Barclays Center

The Islanders announced their eight-game preseason schedule on Tuesday, highlighted by their first game at Barclays Center against the Devils on Sept. 21.
The Islanders open the preseason schedule with split-squad games against the Flames on Sept. 17 in Regina, Saskatchewan and Calgary, though the Saddledome may not be ready by then after recent flooding.
The Islanders lone preseason appearance at Nassau Coliseum is Sept. 27 against the Predators.
The regular season NHL schedule is due to be released this week.
The Islanders are coming off one of their best seasons in recent memory. Led by star forward John Tavares, the Isles finished eight in the Eastern Conference, but were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs.
