Protesters camping out in lower Manhattan have marched on NYPD headquarters.

The "Occupy Wall Street" protest is in its second week, as demonstrators speak out against corporate greed and social inequality.

Hundreds of people marched from their encampment several blocks north on Friday to police headquarters. They demonstrated there for about two hours against the police response to the downtown protest.

Critics have accused officers of being heavy-handed, saying they have roughed up people who did nothing wrong. The NYPD has disputed that claim, but has launched an investigation into why an officer used pepper spray on protesters in incidents that were captured on video. The protesters also say they're upset about reports by The Associated Press that an NYPD intelligence unit has sought to infiltrate the city's Muslim community.

The march on Friday was peaceful and police said there were no arrests. -- AP
