Queens girl, 12, charged with selling drugs

New York City police say they have arrested and charged a 12-year-old girl for selling drugs in her Queens neighborhood.

Police say the girl was arrested Wednesday as a part of a larger investigation into drug dealing in Far Rockaway, Queens. Numerous other people were taken into custody, police said.

Police arrested the preteen on charges of criminal sale of a controlled substance and criminal sale of marijuana.

Her name was not released because of her age.
