A Queens man was arrested and charged yesterday with killing his 62-year-old grandmother and stuffing her in a closet, police said.

Christopher Jackson, 26, of Jamaica, Queens, was charged with second-degree murder and tampering with evidence after a relative found his grandmother, Rosemary Little, dead and wrapped in a blanket inside a closet, according to police and published reports. The medical examiner’s office determined that she was strangled to death.

Little is the second New York grandmother found dead in a closet in as many weeks. Cora Davis, 76, was discovered in her East Harlem apartment on March 30. Police said Davis' autopsy was inconclusive and that the investigation is ongoing, but they are attempting to locate her grandson, Larry Davis, 22.

Little’s body was found by her sister, Denise Brewer, who lives upstairs and went to check on her after the woman’s employers called to say she hadn’t come in. Jackson was in the apartment, and he seemed unconcerned about his grandmother, Brewer's daughter told the Daily News.

The daughter added that she and her mom had heard rumbles coming from downstairs, but didn’t think anything of it.

"We thought they were moving furniture," she said.

Little took in Jackson when he was 7 years old after his mother died, the New York Post reported.
