Queens man arrested in assault of off-duty NYPD member

A 29-year-old Queens man was arrested for assaulting an off-duty cop in Ozone Park early yesterday morning, according to officials.

Hayden Holder, of Jamaica, was arrested and charged with the felony assault, which allegedly occurred around 5 a.m. near St. John's Express on Liberty Avenue.

The victim -- identified in published reports as a 40-year-old sergeant -- was taken to Jamaica Hospital and was in stable condition last night, police said. Witnesses told the Daily News that the victim was walking to his white BMW when an argument broke out between him and the attacker.
