Prosecutors charged a 26-year-old Queens man Wednesday for a string of synagogue robberies over the summer.

Roman Iskhakov, of Kew Gardens, allegedly stole several items, including torahs, a silver plate and a charity box containing $200 from three houses of worshipfrom June 18 to Aug. 16, the Queens district attorney said.

Iskhakov, who the authorities said was not a member of the places he stole from: Congregation Ahavath Sholom, Beth Gavriel Center for Bukharian Jews or Young Israel of Queens Valley Synagogue, was caught on surveillance cameras in two of the robberies.

When the police arrested him Tuesday, Iskhakov allegedly told cops that he sold the items at pawnshops.

If convicted on his various criminal charges, which include burglary, he faces up to seven years in prison, the DA said.
