Queens man found dead in rental truck in the Bronx

A Queens man was found dead in the back of a bullet-riddled rental truck in the Bronx on Saturday night, New York City police said.

Police said they received a 911 call reporting a man who was shot at 2175 Reeds Mill Lane in Eastchester shortly after 9:30 p.m.

When they arrived, they said they found a rental truck that had been shot at multiple times at the corner of Reeds Mill Lane and Tillotson Avenue.

The truck had apparently crashed. Police said they found Jahbar Campbell, 22, of Rosedale, in the back of the truck. Campbell had received multiple gunshot wounds and he was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

No one has been arrested so far, and police are continuing their investigation.
