`A Queens teacher pleaded guilty Thursday to having a sexual relationship with a student that started when the girl was 13 years old.
Charles Oross, 45, of East Islip, Long Island, copped to second-degree criminal sexual act for a single sexual encounter with the girl in January 2009 when he was an eighth grade teacher at I.S. 238.
He will likely be sentenced to six years in jail and 10 years probation, and he will have to register as a sex offender.
"It is both sad and disturbing that a school teacher preyed on a vulnerable young girl for sexual favors," said Queens District Attorney Richard Brown in a statement. "Such behavior will not be tolerated."
