A 19-year-old man from Queens was found guilty yesterday of the March 2009 murder of WABC radio reporter George Weber.
John Katehis was convicted of second-degree murder in the grisly killing, in which he stabbed Weber, 47, more than 50 times. Then 16 years old, Katehis went to Weber’s Carroll Gardens apartment after responding to a Craigslist ad for rough sex.
Katehis faces 25 years to life when he is sentenced on Dec. 7. He reportedly told cops after he was arrested that he was both a Satanist and sadomasochist and was promptly dubbed a “Craigslist Killer” by the media.
Katehis’s original trial ended in a mistrial on Oct. 28, 2010
