Quinn, council members back Albany bill to set up speed cameras

City Council Speaker Christine Quinn gave her support for a plan to install speed cameras in the Big Apple.
The state Legislature is considering a bill that would test 40 speed cameras in accident prone spots in the city that would photograph all drivers who go above the speed limit.
Quinn, who is running for mayor, said the bill needed to be passed ASAP because one in four traffic deaths are caused by fast drivers.
