R. Kelly owes over $4.8 million in taxes: Report

Singer R. Kelly is on the hook for millions of dollars in back taxes, according to a report.
Kelly, 45, owes the government more than $4.8 million for failing to pay taxes between 2005 through 2010, according to IRS documents obtained by TMZ.com, which said the Grammy Award-winning R&B singer failed to pay nearly $1.5 million in 2005 alone.
In a statement to TMZ, a representative for the "I Believe I Can Fly" singer said, "R. Kelly is in the process of working everything out with the government and is confident that all his obligations will be satisfied."
Messages left for Kelly's representative on Thursday were not returned.
