Rangers expect more nail-biting vs. Caps in tight series

The Rangers are bracing for more overtime drama in Saturday's Game 4 (12:30 p.m. on NBC) of their gritty Eastern Conference semifinal against the Capitals.

"They're going to probably have to do it again in this series," Rangers coach John Tortorella said on Thursday in Washington, where both teams were recovering from Wednesday's thrilling 2-1 triple-overtime victory.

Besides taking a 2-1 lead in the playoff, the top-seeded Rangers have three other positive developments to take into Saturday's game in Washington:

Gaborik on the board
Besides ending Wednesday night's marathon, leading scorer Marian Gaborik's goal was his first since Game 1 of the Rangers' quarterfinal against Ottawa, snapping a 20-day, eight-game goal drought.

All Ovie him
The Rangers have limited Capitals star right winger Alex Ovechkin to one point in the first three games after he torched the Blueshirts for 13 points during the last two playoff series between these two teams (12 games).

Victory at Verizon
Wednesday's win was the Blueshirts' first playoff victory over the Caps at the Verizon Center in their last seven tries, dating back to 2009. The Rangers are now 3-1 on the road in this season's Stanley Cup playoffs.
