The two NYPD officers involved in the so-called East Village "rape cops" trial turned themselves in Thursday and began serving their sentences.

Kenneth Moreno, 43, and Franklin Mata, 29, surrendered in Manhattan Supreme Court and were taken into custody, officials said. Both were convicted of official misconduct, and Moreno was sentenced to one year behind bars, and Mata got 60 days.

The two were accused of raping a drunken East Village fashion executive in her apartment in 2008 after they were called to help get here home.

Both were acquitted of rape in May 2011, but were convicted of three counts each of official misconduct for each time they were caught on camera returning to her apartment and letting themselves in after initially dropped her off.
