‘Back to the Future’ still looks good after all these years
So it’s been 25 years since “Back to the Future” hit the big screen and there have been no hoverboards or cars, time machines or self-drying clothes, but we do have an astoundingly good and thoroughly enjoyable series of films. The latest collection, “Back to the Future: 25th Anniversary Trilogy” (DVD, $49.98; Blu-ray, $79.98), which is the first time the movies have been available on Blu-ray, offer up some new special features, most notably a six-part “Tales from the Future” documentary, which will make you wish you had a time machine to stop your younger self from buying the last collection.

‘Winter’s Bone’
Indie thrillers are a dime a dozen, but this little film about a teenage girl trying to find her deadbeat dad has been collecting film-festival accolades (including top prize at Sundance) and, very likely, an Oscar nomination. (DVD, $27.98; Blu-ray, $29.99)

‘You Don’t Know Jack’
In this HBO telefilm, Al Pacino stars as the always-controversial Dr. Jack Kevorkian, the man known for his suicide machines. Like it did with TV shows, HBO is changing the face of made-for-TV movies with this killer biopic. (DVD, $26.98)

‘Star Wars: The Clone Wars’
Easily the finest “Star Wars” anything in the past 20 years, “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” is running strong, now in its third season on Cartoon Network. Season Two is out today and every bit as forceful. (DVD, $44.98; Blu-ray, $59.98)

‘Sex and the City 2’
If you want to see this, then you don’t need to read my ramblings. And so I didn’t watch it. But it’s out. Completists can fork over big bucks for the whole shebang. (DVD, $28.98; Blu-ray, $35.99; Complete Collection, $249.98)
