'Easy A'

I’m going to make a little change of format for this week because I think it’s important to make a plea to Emma Stone. So Emma, you’ve made a really smart, good high school comedy, “Easy A” (DVD, $28.95; Blu-ray, $34.95), inspired by “The Scarlett Letter,” which is both funny and entertaining, but also has a message about the negatives of rumor-mongering. Serously, bravo on a fine film. But Lindsay Lohan once made a similar movie called “Mean Girls.” And now she’s a drugged-up walking punch line. Learn from her mistakes, please.

‘Salt’

Instead of going to see Angelina Jolie’s dead-on-arrival film “The Tourist,” check out her spy thriller “Salt.” (DVD, $28.98; Blu-ray, $34.95)
