'Haven: The Complete First Season'
Starting with "Battlestar: Galactica," the Syfy Channel has built up a roster of solid to great series, including "Haven," based on Stephen King's "The Colorado Kid," and starring Emily Rose, Lucas Bryant and Eric Balfour. The series started a little slow, but as the mysteries build and the increasingly curious residents of Haven, Maine, show up, you'll get hooked like I did. (DVD, $44.98; Blu-ray, $49.98)
'Norm Macdonald: Me Doing Standup'
Don't miss this comedy special from one of my all-time favorite stand-up comedians - and definitely my favorite Canadian stand-up. (DVD, $16.99)
'Hall Pass'
The Farrelly brothers return with this Owen Wilson vehicle. (DVD, $28.98; Blu-ray, $35.99)
'Kill the Irishman'
Tough guys Christopher Walken, Ray Stevenson, Vincent D'Onofrio and Val Kilmer star in this gritty 1970s period Irish-American crime film set in Cleveland. (DVD, $29.98; Blu-ray, $34.98)
'Battle: Los Angeles'
This alien-attack film is bad even by the standards of Syfy's Saturday-night-made-for-TV horror films. To think this was released theatrically is distressing. (DVD, $28.95; Blu-ray, $34.95)
'Shot in the Dark'
If you enjoyed Adrian Grenier's documentary "Teenage Paparazzo," check out his 2002 directorial debut about talks with his estranged father. (DVD, $19.98)
'Supernatural: The Complete Second Season'
Catch up with the Winchesters (Sam and Dean) as they tackle vampires, ghosts and other creepy-crawlies. (Blu-ray, $59.98)
'Marvel Knights: Spider-Woman - Agent of S.W.O.R.D.'
The Marvel Comics series by Brian Michael Bendis and Alex Maleev about the masked superhero comes to life in this motion comic. (DVD, $14.97)
'Elvira's Movie Macabre: Night of the Living Dead' and 'Elvira's Movie Macabre: Satanic Rites of Dracula'
The queen of the macabre hosts some classic B-movie horror flicks. (DVD, $14.98 each)
'The Glades: Season 1'
What sets this procedural with Matt Passmore apart from every other procedural is its small-town South Florida setting. (DVD, $39.98)
'Red Riding Hood'
A remake of the classic fairy tale sexed up for the "Twilight" generation. Starring Amanda Seyfried and Gary Oldman and directed by Catherine Hardwicke, who also helmed -- you guessed it -- "Twilight." (DVD, $28.98; Blu-ray, $35.99)
'Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son'
They keep making them; you apparently keep watching them. (DVD, $29.99; Blu-ray, $39.99)
