Outspoken GOP 2012 frontrunner and Texas Gov. Rick Perry dropped by the Big Apple Wednesday to chat with Donald Trump at his namesake Tower, according to published reports.

Perry, 61, is just the latest of Republican White House hopefuls to break bread with Trump, as the two reportedly had a powwow over dinner at the ritzy Jean Georges in midtown.

"It's obviously about the presidency," Trump spokesman Michael Cohen told CBS News. "Everyone wants Mr. Trump's support." Trump rep didn't return requests for comment.

Perry reportedly requested the meeting with the business and real estate tycoon, and his spokesman confirmed their talks were would focus on jobs. His camp didn't return calls for comment.

The Donald dined with Sarah Palin in June at Famous Famiglia in Times Square, where the pair stirred a bit of a media frenzy for using forks and knives to eat their pizza.

In July, Trump said on CNN's "Piers Morgan Tonight" that he also met with GOP candidate Rep. Michele Bachmann, saying, "I was very impressed with her, and I think she's highly underrated. I think she's very good."

Trump, 65, grabbed headlines for months earlier this year as he very publicly flirted with a presidential run in 2012. He ultimately decided against running, but in bizarre twist, his spokesman yesterday told CBS News that he still hasn't entirely ruled out running, and that "if he's still not happy with the choices, we are all ready to launch a campaign for him as a third-party candidate, as an independent."
