At least Rick can check this off his list: Apologize to Jon Stewart.

Recently booted CNN host Rick Sanchez has expressed contrition to Stewart for calling him a bigot, Sanchez’s wife said via Facebook on Monday.

She said the TV personalities had a “good talk,” with Stewart being “gracious” and calling Sanchez “thin-skinned.” She added that her husband’s comments were the result of “exhaustion” for working 14 hours days for two months straight.

But Sanchez’s apology didn’t stop Stewart from calling him out on “The Daily Show” Monday, though the host was pointedly restrained in his jabs.

“We put this whole bit together [about Sanchez]. And then they fire the guy! So doing the whole bit now just seems kind of mean,” Stewart said. “But you gotta have just a little taste of it!”

That taste included nominating Sanchez to replace Steve Carell as the blundering boss on “The Office.”

Sanchez, 52, was fired from CNN Friday after he called Stewart a “bigot” and implied that Jews control the media. He has yet to publicly address his comments.
