Notice something missing from that Dove billboard in Times Square this Sunday or the cover of the latest issue of Allure magazine?

The women that usually grace ads displayed throughout New York City, and the covers of many popular magazines and books have disappeared.

It's the work of the Clinton Foundation, which is using March 8, International Women's Day, to bring attention to issues of gender equality.

From Rosie the Riveter and Mona Lisa to model Kendall Jenner, ballerina Misty Copeland and "Fifty Shades of Grey" star Dakota Johnson, here's a look at some of the female faces that have vanished from the media landscape today.
