Royals celebrate Prince George's christening
All hail Prince George!
The royal baby was christened in a private ceremony Wednesday at Chapel Royal at St. James' Palace, with four generations of the royal family present.
Mama Kate Middleton and papa Prince William proudly showed off their adorable 3-month-old for the first time since he left the hospital at the end of July.
Little George, third in line to the British throne, wore an elaborate christening gown that was a replica of the one made for Queen Victoria's eldest daughter in 1841, while Middleton donned an elegant cream-colored, ruffle-front dress by Alexander McQueen (the same designer who created her wedding gown).
The baby's great-grandparents, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, were at the intimate ceremony, as were grandpa Prince Charles and Camilla, duchess of Cornwall. The duchess of Cambridge's parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, were also there.
Uncle Prince Harry and aunt Pippa Middleton both gave readings, Harry reading from St. John's gospel, chapter 15, verses 1-5, and Auntie Pippa reading from the Gospel of St. Luke, Ch 18, verses 15-17, according to the palace.
The baby's seven godparents were in attendance.
