Russell Brand says he and Katy Perry were incompatible

Russell Brand has opened up about why his marriage to Katy Perry lasted only 14 months.

Speaking with the Australian version of "60 Minutes," the "Get Him to the Greek" star said he and the pop singer were ultimately incompatible.

"I think if you're someone who's really into mountain biking, it would be good to go out with someone else who's into mountain biking, and if you're really into Eastern mysticism, go out with someone else who into Eastern mysticism," he said.

Brand, 37, wed Perry, 27, in a lavish Hindu ceremony in 2010 and divorced last December.
