Samsung unveils world's first curved-screen smartphone

Samsung yesterday unveiled the world's first smartphone with a curved display, a modified Galaxy Note that potentially brings the manufacturer a step closer to a flexible screen.

The Galaxy Round's 5.7-inch display has a slight horizontal curve, allowing a more comfortable grip than flat-screen models, Samsung said.

It initially will be available only in South Korea.
