Sarah Palin heads back to Fox as contributor, network says

Sarah Palin has returned to Fox News.

After she abruptly parted ways with the Rupert Murdoch-owned network in January, Fox said Thursday that Palin has signed back on to be a contributor starting next week.

The former governor of Alaska and vice presidential nominee will also have a position at the Fox Business Network and will make her debut on the morning show "Fox & Friends" on Monday.

"I have great confidence in her and am pleased that she will once again add her commentary to our programming," Fox News chief Roger Ailes said. "I hope she continues to speak her mind."

Palin, 49, said she's "pleased and proud to be rejoining Roger Ailes and the great people at Fox."

"The power of Fox News is unparalleled," Palin said. "The role of Fox News in the important debates in our world is indispensable."

Palin first joined Fox in 2010 for a reported $1 million per year, but she left after reportedly butting heads with Ailes, who was quoted as calling her "stupid" in a New York magazine article in 2011.
