Scarlett Johansson: 'I'm not the jealous type'

Scarlett Johansson has a lot of acting gigs under her belt, but one role she doesn’t take on is that of the jealous fiance.

The 28-year-old, who is newly engaged to French journalist Romain Dau
riac, said as much at the premiere of her flick “Don Jon” at the Toronto Film Festival this week.

“I’m not the jealous type who does background checks — I’m not that type of girlfriend,” Johansson told reporters, according to People magazine.

What type of girlfriend is she? One who understands that “the challenges of a relationship are what help you grow into an evolved person,” she said.

However, she does admit that she’s tried to change things about a partner, much like her character in “Don Jon.”

“It’s kind of like, ‘Why can’t you be more like me?’”

Johansson and Dauriac have been dating for a little less than a year. She was married to actor Ryan Reynolds from 2008 to 2011; Reynolds is now married to Blake Lively.
